| Hello! And welcome to the Fifth installment of "Monday Music Madness!" This week we have nine music suggestions for you to try. Yay for the Mushy Love Songs!! We start off this week with a suggestion by Ashdizzle #1204 Band Name:Gavin DeGraw. Gavin is an American musician and singer-songwriter. He is known for his songs "Chariot", "Follow Through", "I Don't Want to Be" which has been featured as the theme song for the television drama series, One Tree Hill. Ashdizzles selection: Soldier Soldier Next up ... Josh Groban. Thank you Yam McYam #2671 Band Name:Josh Groban Josh is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and record producer. His first four solo albums have been certified multi-platinum, and in 2007, he was charted as the number-one best selling artist in the United States with over 21 million records in that country. When You Say You Love Me Quadricat #74 picked this great song.. Band Name: Sixpence None The Richer is an American rock/pop band that formed in New Braunfels, Texas, eventually settling in Nashville, Tennessee. They are best known for their songs "Kiss Me" and "Breathe Your Name" and their covers of "Don't Dream It's Over" and "There She Goes". The name of the band is inspired by a passage from the book Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis. Kiss Me Kidkeeper #889 sent in this gem from Chicago Band Name: Chicago Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. The self-described "rock and roll band with horns" began as a politically charged, sometimes experimental, rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound, becoming famous for producing a number of hit ballads. They had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Second only to The Beach Boys in terms of Billboard singles and albums chart success among American bands, Chicago is one of the longest running and most successful pop/rock and roll groups. One of my all time favorite mushy love songs Band Name: Scorpions The Scorpions are a rock band from Hannover, Germany formed in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, who is the band's only constant member. They are known for their 1980s rock anthem "Rock You Like a Hurricane" The band was ranked #46 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock program. "Rock You Like a Hurricane" is also #18 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. The band sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Here now "Still Loving You" Still Loving You Up Next, Rolling Stones First popular in Europe, The Rolling Stones quickly became successful in North America during the British Invasion of the mid 1960s. Having released 22 studio albums in the United Kingdom (24 in the United States), eleven live albums (twelve in the US), and numerous compilations, their worldwide sales are estimated at more than 200 million albums! Without a doubt one of their all time greatest songs. And a VERY mushy love song to boot! Wild Horses And who can forget: Band Name The Bangles The Bangles are an American all-female band that originated in the early 1980s, scoring several hit singles during the decade. Eternal Flame Last, I had to include this for my parents: Band Name Badfinger Badfinger were a British rock band consisting originally of Pete Ham, Ron Griffiths, Mike Gibbins and Tom Evans, active from 1968 to 1983, and evolving from The Iveys, formed by Ham, Griffiths and David "Dai" Jenkins in Swansea, Wales, in the early 1960s. Joey Molland joined the group in 1969, following the departure of Griffiths. Signed by The Beatles' Apple label in 1968 as The Iveys, they adopted the name Badfinger in 1969. The band drew comparisons to the Beatles initially, due to the similarities of their music, and the mentorship of some members of the Beatles. | Now that it is springtime and the weather has improved, Pumas like to go camping! Take a look at these camping-related items from Allira. :) They're in a bunch of different shops (A Change of Scenery, Armed & Dangerous, and Environments!).      Springtime also brings all kinds of creepy crawlies, but these little nose beetles are cute! Thanks Yam. :D Find them in A Change of Scenery!    On top of that, our carpenter has been hard at work making only the finest furniture for your rooms. Thanks to Pirran for these tables! These will be in Roommates of course!   |

| Hello! And welcome to the Forth installment of "Monday Music Madness!" This week we have eight music suggestions for you to try for the Golden Oldies!! We start off this week with a suggestion by Dragonara #7 Band Name:The Beatles. Band Name:Bruce Springsteen Bruce got his start in New Jersey/ Philadelphia area playing local clubs. One Philly area DJ had a belief in his music and passed on a demo to Manfred Mann. Manfred recorded his music and Bruce gained a new audience. Ed Sciaky of WMMR / WIOQ radio never lost belief in Bruce and the two remained friends until Ed's death in 2004. Dancing In The Dark Brenne #13 picked this song by one of my all time favorite bands "Golden Earring". Band Name: Golden Earring Golden Earring are a Dutch rock band, founded in 1961 in The Hague as the Golden Earrings (the 's' was dropped in 1969). They had international chart success with the songs "Radar Love" in 1973, "Twilight Zone" in 1982, and "When the Lady Smiles" in 1984. In their home country, they had over 40 hits and made over 30 gold and platinum albums. My Favorite song by this band "Twilight Zone" Twilight Zone JT #3 sent in this gem from 1986 Band Name: Dream Academy The Dream Academy were an English folk rock band, comprising singer/guitarist Nick Laird-Clowes; multi-instrumentalist (chiefly oboe, English horn player) Kate St John; plus keyboardist Gilbert Gabriel. Listen to Life in a Northern town And lastly one of my all time Favorites, Sent in by Burning Sky #107 Band Name : Big Country Big Country is an internationally-renowned Scottish rock band formed in Dunfermline, Fife in 1981. The height of the band's popularity was in the 1980s, although it retained a cult following for many years after, including the release of several further titles. The band's music was most recognisable for the sounds it infused with Scottish folk and martial music styles, as well as for playing and engineering their guitar driven sound to evoke the inspirational spirit of bagpipes, fiddles and other traditional folk instruments. One of my all time favorite songs from 1971 Band Name: Rod Stewart Rod Stewart, is a British singer-songwriter, born and raised in North London, England. He is of Scottish and English ancestry. With his distinctive raspy singing voice, Stewart came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with The Jeff Beck Group and then Faces. Here now one of my favorites from Rod the Mod... Maggie May Up Next, Once known as "The pride Of PA" Warren Zevon! My family has a history with him so ok, maybe I'm partial, but that doesn't negate the fact he's AMAZING! I love most of warrens music, his tongue in cheek style of lyrics and his driving melodies. Sadly in 2003 Warren left us after a fight with lung cancer caused by aesbestos exposure. He is missed! Here now one of his most popular from 1978 Werewolves of London And the best for last, my IDOL Peter Gabriel Formerly the front man for "Genesis" He left to pursue a solo career which did well for him. Multi gold LPs and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry today Peter Gabriel is well recognized by his peers as a master. Here now a GREAT live version of my favorite song "Solsbury Hill" Solsbury hill As I stated last week, We want YOUR songs! PLEASE though, don't send more than 2 suggestions at a time.
