The song was originally going to be about Ray Davies, leader of the band The Kinks. Lead vocalist/guitarist Chrissie Hynde and Davies were a couple and had a daughter together, but the meaning of the song changed after James Honeyman-Scott, the Pretenders guitarist, died of a drug overdose at the age of 25 in 1982. Back on the Chain Gang Band Name:Phoebe Snow..."Somewhere Between Old and New York" Phoebe Snow is a personal Hero to me. In December 1975 she gave birth to a severely mentally impaired daughter, Valerie Rose. Snow resolved not to institutionalize Valerie, and cared for her at home until Valerie died on March 18, 2007 at the age of 31. Snow's efforts to care for Valerie nearly ended her career. Phoebe Snow suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on January 19, 2010 and slipped into a coma, enduring bouts of blood clots, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure. Snow died on April 26, 2011 at age 60. | P3's economy is always changing-- there are a lot of factors, just like in "real life". :) New members joining, school out for the summer, vacations & holidays, new features and events, new games, new items, etc. P3 is never static! Because of that, from time to time the prices of items in our Site Shops will be adjusted to fit with the average amount of pence users are making per day. We made such an adjustment recently, and will again in the future. :) We thought right now would be an excellent time to show you what P3's games and freebies have to offer you each and every day. All averages below can be increased with a Premium membership, too, since you will receive more plays per day for just about every single game! Keep in mind: Some days will be more than what is listed below; some days will be less. This is an "average" day. :) FREEBIE GAMES - No fee to play! • Fortune Teller - Once Per Day - Your greatest chance is to receive a Food item! You can also receive Puma Pence (next highest chance after Food), a Grocery Cache, Puma's First Toy, or just a fortune (wisdom is its own reward? :)). • Hidden Treasure - Once Per Day - If you fail, you get 300 PP just for trying! If you win, your greatest chance is to receive more than 1000 Puma Pence! You can also receive a Playable Toy item (second highest chance), or a Puma's First Toy. • Trivia - 10 Questions Per Week (at least 1 question a day!) - Answer your question correctly, and you will receive an average of 2,700 Puma Pence per question! So just for playing Freebie Games, you can receive the following every day on average: • 1 Food item • 300 PP (+ more if you get lucky!) • 2,700 PP (+ more if you answer more than one question, but all 10 questions are approximately 27,000 PP over the week on average) PAY-TO-PLAY - Small fee to play! • Enviro-Collector - Once Per Day: 500 PP Fee - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Play - You will receive a random Environment item only available from this game, or from other User Shops! • Excavation - Twice Per Day: 2,000 PP Fee for 10 Clicks - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Play - Possible prizes are Bone Shards, Food, Pence, or an empty slot. You have a MUCH higher chance of getting a prize than an empty! Out of 10 clicks, on average you will receive: 2 Food, 5600 PP, 3 Bone Shards, and 2 Empty. • Gemstones - Three Per Day: 100 PP Fee - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Play - If you lose, there is no prize. If you win, you receive 1000 PP and one random Food item. This is one of our harder games, but the prize for winning is well worth the fee! So just for playing Pay-to-Play games, you can receive the following every day on average: • 1 Environment item • 6% Happiness Increase for All Alphas (12% Happiness Increase if you play Gemstones three times, too) • 3-4 Food items • 10,000 PP (approximately) • 5-6 Bone Shards • Subtract 4500 PP (or 4800 PP if you choose to play Gemstones) as the daily cost for these prizes MULTIPLE FREE-PLAY - Free to play multiple times! • Anaconda - Three Score Submits Per Day - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Score Submit - Not good at this game? Even a low score submission will give you the Happiness increase AND a small pence prize. Submit a score of 10, and your prize will be approximately 750 PP! 75% of players got at LEAST a 10, and 50% of players got at LEAST a 20! • Rival Orbs - Three Score Submits Per Day - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Score Submit - Not good at this game? Even a low score submission will give you the Happiness increase AND a small pence prize. If you only finish Level 1, your score will be 10 and you will receive approximately 30 PP. Very small, but consider this: 75% of players have a score of 70 or higher! 50% of players have a score of 90 or higher. • Number Challenge - Three Score Submits Per Day - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Score Submit - Not good at this game? Even a low score submission will give you the Happiness increase AND a small pence prize. If you get to Level 5, you will have a score of 1280 and receive approximately the same amount of PP as your prize. Consider this: 75% of players have a score of 3540 or higher! • Word Search - Three Score Submits Per Day - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Score Submit - Not good at this game? Even a low score submission will give you the Happiness increase AND a small pence prize. If you find one word fairly quickly, you will receive a score of 190 and approximately 380 PP as your prize. 75% of players have a score of 530 or higher, and 50% have a score of 750 or higher! • Mah Jong - Three Score Submits Per Day - 2% Happiness Increase for Every Alpha Per Score Submit - Each match is 10 points-- match 5 pairs and you will have 50 points, or approximately 500 PP as your prize. 75% of players have a score of 530 or higher; 50% of players have a score of 800 or higher! So just for playing our Multiple Free-Play games, you can receive the following every day on average: • 30% Happiness Increase for All Alphas • 2250 PP from Anaconda • 630 PP from Rival Orbs • 10620 PP from Number Challenge • 3180 PP from Word Search • 15900 PP from Mah Jong RANDOM EVENTS Just by clicking around the site, you can receive a few varieties of Random Events! Here are the ones that might toss a prize at you (we also have some event/festival Random Events!): • A happy Puma tosses the following at you: Random food item! • A Puma drops this at your feet: Random Playable item! • A glint of something shiny on the ground: up to 3,000 Puma Pence! • A Puma drops a coconut from a tree: Whole Coconut openable with a prize inside! • Your Alpha Puma finds a cache/has a wonderful day/heals completely: Random H3 Meter fill up for one of your Alphas! (this is very rare!) • The glow of a firefly nearby: Random Firefly if you own a Glass Bottle (the rarest!) You have the possibility of getting 1 Random Event per hour (not a guarantee however!)-- the more time you spend, the better your chance. :) QUESTING • Kazoo - 3 Plays Per Day - If you return most quickly with the items he requests, you will receive most commonly 50,000 PP or prize equivalent! You will receive at least 10,000 PP for the quickest time. Obviously there is a cost involved since you must purchase the items he requests, but doing so quickly up to 3 times per day could win you a prize 150,000 PP! Other quick time prize options are the Grocery Cache and Puma's First Toy which I will discuss below. There is also a very rare chance of getting a Firefly, so long as you have a Glass Bottle in your Inventory. These are some of the most valuable items in our game! On top of that, slower time prize options include a multitude of items currently stocking in our Site Shops. :) • More Quests are COMING! Grocery Cache: This item is a Food item. It can only be used once (exactly like other Food items). This item will always decrease the Hunger of the Alpha you choose to 0%! If your Alpha is at 100% Hunger-- it will drop to 0%. If your Alpha is at 50% hunger-- it will drop to 0%. This is incredibly valuable for emergency food, but also could end up being a cheaper choice than buying a bunch of smaller food items! It is ONLY available as a prize or from User Shops! Puma's First Toy: This item is a Playable item. It can be used up to *3* times (exactly like other Playable items). This item will always increase the Happiness of the Alpha you choose to 100! If you Alpha is at 0% Happiness-- it will increase to 100%. If your Alpha is at 50% Happiness-- it will increase to 100%. This item is also incredibly valuable, most especially since it has the possibility of being used 3 times. That makes it one of, if not THE most powerful item in the whole game currently! It is ONLY available as a prize or from User Shops! TOO LONG; DIDN'T READ! PHEW, I know this is a lot of information, so I wanted to post a TL;DR at the bottom here showing you what your total daily average "profit" of Pence and Items could be, if you take advantage of all of our freebie and pay-to-play games: • 4-5 Food items • 45,580 PP • 1 Environment item • 36% Happiness Increase for All Alphas (42% Happiness Increase if you play Gemstones three times, too) • 5-6 Bone Shards • Subtract 4500 PP (or 4800 PP if you choose to play Gemstones) as the daily cost for the Pay-to-Play games • And that doesn't even include questing, which can give you a prize of 10-50k for each quick play, in addition to items! • Nor does it include selling items you've won as prizes, breeding and selling Pumas, etc! • Receiving Random Events can also bump up your prize count! | Summer Solstice Festival Today is the last day of our Summer Solstice Festival! I told you it would fly by! We hope you've enjoyed this year's festival. :) Remember: if it has a sun icon in the corner, it will be back next year! If it has a sun and a "12", it retires at the end of the day today. And if there is no icon-- the item is a new permanent item in our shops! :) Something Fun for the Weekend I discovered two cute little Petites hiding in my office earlier today. Both of them were pretty cheeky and hoping to escape and play with my chameleon (he doesn't like company!), but I told them Pumas are more fun. :) They are now stocking in the Petite shop! Seems like we were just playing in the snow, but now it is time for beaches and BBQs. :) You'll notice that our background image has changed to a nice bright blue-- Summer on P3 has definitely arrived!
