| With the coming of the newsletter we will also be doing P3 "Spotlights". What are spotlights you say? This is where you get to nominate friends, displays, pumas that you think are worthy of a mention in the newsletter. The people showcased will be given a spot in the newsletter, you will also get mentioned and .. who knows what else? :) Do you want to suggest someone? Go here: Click me! | March 8th, Saturday at 3PM Puma time and again at 8 PM puma time we will be hosting Saturday evening live in our Chat rooms! Topic tonight is: "Music that we love" Tonight we will be discussing our favorites. Please bring some to share!! All participating members will have their names placed in the monthly raffle pot. From that pot several winners will be picked each month to win an Opal Orb, Or a Sapphire Orb, or a Premium idol. All you need to do is participate! That is, not simply show up but actually join in the conversation and chat! It's that simple. | We are going to be starting up a monthly email newsletter for P3. :) Newzy Puma was really excited cause he has been wanting to do this for a while, but he didn't have access to a printing press! There will be featured forum threads, fun games, awesome Puma features, spotlight interviews, and more! The newsletter will be sent 1-2 times per month. We will figure out the exact schedule once things get into motion. :) If you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see in the newsletter, PLEASE LET US KNOW! You can reply here or post in Ideas & Suggestions on the forum. You will need to subscribe to the newsletter to receive it-- we will not be automatically adding you! The link can be found on your INDEX page (in the Control Panel there is a Pumatopia Gazette link). You can also go directly to your Account Options (YOU -> OPTIONS). Your P3 data should be automatically added to the subscription form when you click on the subscribe link. :) CLICK HERE TO SEE INFO AND SUBSCRIBE! YAY! (Just a note for anyone concerned about privacy of your email information-- we are using a 3rd party service called MailChimp that handles all of the newsletter sending! So you will not be "CC'd" or "BCC'd" on a HUGE mailing list. :) ) |

| MOBILE CHAT This is just a reminder that our Live Chat is now available for mobile devices for a trial period! Approximately one week is left, so be sure to jump on chat with your phone, tablet, or other internet-enabled device to try it out and give us your opinion! CLICK HERE for the original news post. WHO IS CHATTING? The Chat Complex page has had a mini-facelift! It is now easier to jump right into the chat, in addition to simplified links that will bring you right to the correct section of the page if you have a question. There is also now a section that lists who is currently chatting RIGHT NOW! You will see it in a box on the top right. Enjoy! | We have made some adjustments to how your Birthday information is used on P3, and we are giving you the option to decide your privacy settings. Under YOU -> OPTIONS there is now a new section called Birthday Privacy. There is information there explaining what it means, and also a checkbox for you to make your decision. If you click the checkbox, you are allowing P3 to share your birthday month/day publicly on the site: • Display a Gifting Stump on your Profile on your birthday day. • Display a "gift" icon next to your name in the Users Online list on your birthday day. • Other possible birthday events, such as showing you on a list of "upcoming birthdays" or other gifts/activities in the future. NOTE: We will never share the YEAR associated with your birthdate, just the month and day. If you DO NOT click the checkbox, P3 will not share your birthday month/day on the site (the year is never shared publicly). That means the following: • There will be NO Gifting Stump on your Profile on your birthday day. • There will be NO "gift" icon next to your name in the Users Online list on your birthday day. • You will NOT be included in any birthday events, such as showing you on a list of "upcoming birthdays" or other gifts/activities in the future. By default, I have set ALL users active in the last 6 months to allow the birthday sharing (your box will be auto-clicked!). This is because people are used to having their Gifting Stump on their birthday, so I would not want anyone active in the last 6 months to accidentally miss out due to this change. ALL new accounts from this point onward (and anyone not active in 6 months) will have to "opt-in" to these Birthday features. That means they will need to go to the YOU -> OPTIONS page and click the checkbox under Birthday Privacy if they would like to have a Gifting Stump, etc. This setting can be changed by you at any time! Enjoy! |
