Sharing on Facebook
Posted by JT_ on Oct 30, 2013 3:19 pm
We have just activated a new Puma sharing feature for Facebook! You can now easily share your favorite Pumas in your Pride right from their Puma Profile. :) Just click the blue "Share Puma on Facebook" button right below your Puma's image and follow the prompts!

Your Puma's image will be uploaded to your Facebook Timeline with either the default text (stating the Puma's breed and name), or whatever custom text you chose to enter when prompted. :)

Obviously a Facebook account is required to use this new, optional feature.

Since I know people are often concerned about their privacy, I wanted you all to know that P3 does NOT keep any of your Facebook info or Facebook profile data. Nothing is stored on our servers.

Facebook requires you to give P3 certain permissions to allow us to share Puma images on your Timeline, so you will see it ask you for these minimum requirements when you activate it for the first time. :)

We only have this sharing feature on Pumas that you personally own, so you won't be chased around P3 with Facebook stuff if you don't care to have an account there. ;) We just wanted to make it easy for those who do to show off their favorites!

It's possible we will also add sharing capabilities for other services too, but since Facebook is quite popular we thought we were start there!

Please let me know if you run into any issues or have any questions. :)

Is this why when I refresh a page on P3 in the bottom left it says "waiting for www.pocketpumapet.com" and then it says "waiting for www.facebook.com"?

That is more likely because of the "Like" button in the footer (which is on every page).

This new feature is only on the Puma Profiles.

Would It be possible just to simply list the HTML coding so that I may put it on my website?

I do not have a facebook, but I have an Everloop, and a Blog.

Thx.

Hi Podward-- the way Facebook works, there is no HTML code that I could provide which would give you the same effect at this time.

Maybe this is something we can add in the future along with other sharing options. :)
