As I stated last posting, We want YOUR songs! PLEASE though, don't send more than 2 suggestions at a time.
If you find NEW stuff to suggest, feel free to send, just don't keep sending the same song over and over :)
If you wish to suggest music, you must PRIVATE message me directly with the link and the subject line "Suggestion for Music". It would help me a GREAT deal if you would also include the name of the band and the song with your video clip. I am running into removed videos and I have no way to search w/o information included.
Also, If you discover I did NOT use your particular clip It's usually because it isn't available, isn't playing properly or has a long commercial in front of it. I will try to search out a good version when this happens.

**
This upcoming M3 will post on April 8th, 2013 (I will be unable to post prior to that as I might not have access to the computer)

Next category. Heat! Lets find songs about warmth, heat, sun, summer...If we find enough warm songs maybe all the cold snow and rain will go away! Let's see what you come up with!

I almost suggested "Burnt Flowers Fallen" as well, but then I remembered "Summer Breeze" lol :) I love Type O Negative.

Frog HollowMar 11, 2013 3:48 pm
These songs are so fun. It really gives a bit of insight into the tastes of our fellow players. I really enjoy the monday madness.

SilveryMar 11, 2013 4:09 pm
OMG OMG OMG OMG! Another Type O fan! :D

-high fives Panthara- \,,/

We should start a club. xD

Wow all awesome choices. Nocty I see our minds ran along the same line. LOL Tip Toe Through the Tulips was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the catergory. Wonder if its anything to do with our ages? lol

brenneMar 11, 2013 4:43 pm
I get to hear a lot more varieties of music with this monday music madness. I love it.

Internal PantharaMar 11, 2013 5:12 pm
I'm all for the Type O Negative club idea. :D

NoctyMar 11, 2013 6:20 pm
Ah, dangit. I thought I'd be the only one suggesting Tiny Tim! But lots of lovely song suggestions this time around too, not much of a flower person myself, sadly. XD

And I just heard of the song recently, Rose. A mishap when I was looking for another song, and I found that instead. I'm only 17, after all. ;)

furryfeathersMar 11, 2013 6:35 pm
Love the variety of songs...

Kami Mi Ke NekoMar 11, 2013 7:46 pm
Every Rose has it's Thorn is one of my faaaaaaaaaaaaavorite epic ballads. Oh yes. :D I'm actually surprised I didn't suggest it because as soon as I saw it up there I started singing it here at home as loud as I could and then people started looking at me funny and I think maybe someone called the cops.

;)

BUT YES.

Also, Kiss from a Rose is very epic. I'm glad that those came up there. I kinda forgot about those two. LOL I think I thought roses weren't flowers for a short period of time. hehe. ^^

The duet of You Don't Bring Me Flowers has an interesting history. Both artists had released singles of it but WAKY-AM/Louisville program director, Gary Guthrie, spliced the two solo tracks together as a going away present to his wife, whom he had just divorced. As the real life fairytale behind the song unfolded, it triggered a media buzz worldwide from Good Morning America and People magazine to the BBC. Interest in the duet caused such a clamor on the retail level that Columbia Records was compelled to bring Streisand and Diamond into the studio to record an "official" version in October 1978. The song reached number one on the Hot 100 chart for two non-consecutive weeks in December 1978, producing the third number-one hit for both singers. Good enough for Trivia!

I LOOOOOOVE Where Have All the Flowers Gone. I love Peter, Paul, and Mary in general, but that is one of my favorites of theirs. :)

And yes Nocteleh... epic pick with the Tiny Tim. :)

Billy The KidMar 12, 2013 7:15 am
I love Peter, Paul, and Mary, too. Brings me back to visiting my cousins when I was a kid, and the long car rides my parents tried to entertain us on. Didn't always work, but, hey! The songs shall live on.

FlooffyMar 13, 2013 6:24 pm
Ahhh flowers! A springly theme! Actually, mom brought an onion of a Narcissus home. It bloomed today! These songs really made me feel the spring, and made me miss the summer a lot! We used to have a garden full of tulips, narcissus, roses, pansies and so many more flowers! I remember it was a pain to remember to water them each day, since I really wanted to do other things and not to be stuck in my backyard weeding and watering flowers! But now, living in a apartment means no garden and no flowers on the backyard .3. I wish I could go back, to be honest ^^;;

Ah well then Nocty..sorry about that. lol. Now I REALLY feel old. Love the flower power fribble...thanks admin for awesome prizes.

Billy The KidMar 19, 2013 5:15 pm
*pats rose* We know you're old!

AlliraMar 25, 2013 12:07 am
GreenRowan I remember reading at the time You Don't Bring Me Flowers was originally released that the two artists never met - your post explains why - although it really does seem that the song is from two separate points of view and was meant to be a duet. I have never heard their individual versions - ever!

Alex likes the Singing Budgie! Who'd a thought it.

I've seen The Sound of Music more times than I can count! Eidelweiss was the last song Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote together and I (along with a lot of people I bet) thought it was an actual Austrian national song for years. It might not be but it IS illegal to pick the flowers there.

Lol I have no idea what "jasmine in your mind" even is!

I wonder what the most popular flower in songs is. Im guessing roses... but I can also think of a few daisy songs.
Girls are often named after flowers - but there arent any masculine sounding flowers (trees yes - flowers no). I saw one site which says that Aster is a good boys flower name - but would YOU want your named shortened if it was Aster? :D

I may have digressed just a little....
