As I stated last posting, We want YOUR songs! PLEASE though, don't send more than 2 suggestions at a time.
If you find NEW stuff to suggest, feel free to send, just don't keep sending the same song over and over :)
If you wish to suggest music, you must PRIVATE message me directly with the link and the subject line "Suggestion for Music". It would help me a
GREAT deal if you would also include the name of the band and the song with your video clip. I am running into removed videos and I have no way to search w/o information included.

Also, If you discover I did NOT use your particular clip It's usually because it isn't available, isn't playing properly or has a long commercial in front of it. I will try to search out a good version when this happens.

This upcoming M3 will post on February 25th, 2013

Next category. Home! What does this mean? These songs need to be about..home and going back, leaving remembering, or otherwise. Some examples "Home on the range, Home is where the heart is, A girl back home, Home for the holidays..." You get the picture. Lets see what you all come up with!

Congrats to:

Awesome songs this week, guys! I feel like traveling off to somewhere without all this snow! Now I have ideas on how ;) XD!!!
Can't wait for Feb. 25th's picks!

brenneFeb 11, 2013 6:15 pm
I can't believe I forgot to submit my entry! lol...I had been pestering for this theme, too! Awsome selections

sienna77Feb 11, 2013 7:42 pm
If it weren't for the fact the song was written well before I ever started driving, I would think that I can't drive 55 was wrote about me! lol I suggested that one as well cuz that is my theme song in my car!

I am not a big beatles fan *runs and hides from angry mob*, but I do love Yellow Submarine! Lot's of other great hits, Highway to Hell, Little Deuce Coupe, Life is a Highway, 500 Miles, Born to be Wild, Sailing, Starships and Runaway Train are all ones I know I have heard before and love them.

Heard Rocketman before, but not that version, I liked it very much, she has a wonderful voice! Will definately have to listen to more of Kate Bush. Haven't got a chance yet to listen to the rest of them, but will do so on the morrow!

and what would you have suggested Brenne? *is as curious as a cat*

SilveryFeb 11, 2013 8:05 pm
I have been waiting ever since MMM started for a category that fit Airship Pirates! :D Woot!

singleroseFeb 11, 2013 8:07 pm
Excellent selections everyone....Rocket Man...didn't even think about that one alex. Leaving on a Jet Plane and Sailing....wow do those bring back memories. Congrats to everyone.

PhantomFireFeb 11, 2013 8:18 pm
I came up with 17, and many I simply couldn't find you tube for. Was SO disappointed!!

Shadows HidingFeb 12, 2013 2:24 am
Amazing selections! I loved them all!

furryfeathersFeb 12, 2013 7:00 pm
I had a hard time with this group for some reason, but love the ones folks chose!

GreenRowanFeb 13, 2013 6:45 am
Oh, I just love all of these! Doing the Pretenders right now!

FlooffyFeb 14, 2013 10:16 am
Ooooh! This theme reminds me of the 20 hour trip I has in my car. XD! We were going from Lithuania to very bottom of Germany. We were singing our lungs out with my brother, mainly singing
"99 Duel Monsters cards on the wall~!
99 Duel Monsters cards~~
You take one out, trade it around, 98 Duel Monsters cards on the wall~"
and all the way to the 0 XD! It's a Yu-Gi-Oh! Reference, but we still had a lot of fun! I loved this theme, just brought back memories :)

Billy The KidFeb 15, 2013 1:50 pm
Its tempting to try and make CD's based off of the MMM songs. Just to have all those different types of music handy.

AlliraFeb 23, 2013 7:56 pm
I love Holdiay Road - I love the Vacation movies (except the Vegas one which was stupid). I watch the Christmas one every single Christmas eve.

On the Road Again is pretty much a classic travelling type song. I like Willie Nelson his voice is very easy to listen to.

I love Life is a Highway (I swear Sashie and I were separated at birth).

I never like "covers" so I prefer the original version of Rocket Man. Same with Leaving on a Jet Plane.

Yellow Submarine is a fun song. The Beatles sure had some quirky numbers didnt they?

I like Little Deuce Coup - although I have NO idea what the heck a Deuce Coup is.

My computer won't let me play Nicki Minaj - it has standards apparently :p

oh yes and Alex has some music of some kind down the bottom as usual :p

Internal PantharaFeb 23, 2013 8:08 pm
I was hesitant to join in at first, but thought I'd give the upcoming one a bash.

Kami Mi Ke NekoFeb 23, 2013 8:21 pm
More people need to post fun parody songs. :D ^^ Thank you for picking mineeeee ^^

Also, I need to find each and every one of these on mp3 or somewhat and put them on my ipod for our travel to Nebraska this spring!! Those will be awesome songs for a trip :D

PhantomFireFeb 23, 2013 10:13 pm
Allie, John Denver IS the original , Seriously you didn't know?

AlliraFeb 23, 2013 10:25 pm
He WROTE it (but called it "Babe, I hate to go") - it was first released commercially under the title Leaving on a Jet Plane by Peter Paul and Mary in 1967.
Doesnt matter who wrote it. If you record it to sell AFTER someone else - you are covering their version.

ZambeeFeb 24, 2013 7:29 am
haha great song choices ;) I've always Loved Life Is a Highway! Epic

Et CeteraFeb 24, 2013 9:14 am
These are great songs! I love Yellow Submarine (anything Beatles, really), and Life is a Highway.

katsutosFeb 24, 2013 4:10 pm
I look forward to these and will keep trying to introduce songs that I listen to. <3

PhantomFireFeb 24, 2013 9:42 pm
Allie, wrong.. but thanks for playing .. LOL
The original is whomever records first. He did. And it was under leaving on a jet plane as his producer convinced him to change the name. Just because it wasnt a commercial hit for him and it was for peter paul and mary doesnt make HIS own song version a cover of theirs. Especially not when he wrote it. so nyah nyah nayh

( btw message to members.. don't get worried allie and i tend to play like this.. it's in fun not serious)

AlliraFeb 25, 2013 5:06 pm
But when he recorded it it was only a few copies and he gave them away to friends. It wasnt commercially released! One of the friends was Peter, Paul and Mary ...er.... three of the friends? and the rest as they say - is history.
So I see your nyah, nyah, nyah and raise you a "so there!!!"

(and yes Alex and I can "debate" pretty much anything - even whether or not it's raining <3)

PhantomFireFeb 25, 2013 6:25 pm
HE RECORDED IT it is HIS SONG. You can not do a cover of your own song. Cover means that you are doing a copy of someone elses song.
