As I stated last week, We want YOUR songs! PLEASE though, don't send more than 2 suggestions at a time.
If you find NEW stuff to suggest, feel free to send, just don't keep sending the same song over and over :) If you wish to suggest music, you must PRIVATE message me directly with the link and the subject line "Suggestion for Music". It would help me a GREAT deal if you would also include the name of the band and the song with your video clip. I am running into removed videos and I have no way to search w/o information included. Also, If you discover I did NOT use your particular clip It's usually because it isn't available, isn't playing properly or has a long commercial in front of it. I will try to search out a good version when this happens.

Next category 80's New Wave. (late 70's 80's) What does that mean? It means this might be a bit harder for some folks, but 80's "new wave" is still around! Blondie, flock of seagulls, duran duran etc. Look around, what do you find that you enjoy?

Congrats to:

OMGosh I can't believe I forgot about that song "Close My Eyes Forever" I only listen to it everytime I get in the car, lol.

OMG the Sound of Silence. I can't believe *I* didn't submit that one (but now I know fur sure sage has GOOD taste!). . . I have loved that ever since I was waaay back in early high school. Found it on some Mp3 sharing site and adored it even though at the time I really didn't understand the whole thing's significance I guess. ^.^ But even now, I just love hearing it, it's such a great song. :D

And who doesn't know of and love Paradise by the Dashboard Light? So epic, our marching band played it for one of our half time shows. Oh yes we did. And it was awesome. Good songs, good memories. ^.^

Wow I can not believe this...I have every song here on my playlist on media player except..Ninja's pick: The Beauty Underneath. And its a great pick!I listened to it a few times and saved it because I really like it.
Whiskey Lullibye makes me cry, the video release By Brad and Alison was just beautiful.

Oh wow, "Whiskey Lullaby" and "The Sound of Silence" are two of my favorite duets! D:

I so think of the graphic novel/movie "The Watchmen" when I hear "The Sound of Silence." Such an intense storyline, and this soundtrack is simply masterful, ungodly brilliant when it's played in the movie.

And I'm just the above-average southern belle, I do love me some country duets done right. x3

It took Simon and Garfunkel to convince you of my exquisitely good taste in music, Kami? Et tu, Lynxicle Queen? LOL! Kidding, of course. :)

I was so glad to see Freddie and David make the list Under Pressure is basically two of the most talented voices and showmen of all times trying to out perform one another in pure epic awesomeness.

Also pleased to see Ozzy and Lita Ford. That song is win.

I do have to say that if you're talking Reba and Ronnie Dunn duets, I far prefer If You See Him, If You See Her. Cowgirls Don't Cry is good, just not my fav collaboration between them.

OMG! I love leather and lace. It has been one of my moms favorite songs forever. I love how flowing a song it is. Their voices are amazing together.

lol I don't think Simon & Garfunkel even counts as a duet since they are a "group" - the song is a really nice one though.
And if Simon and Garfunkel count as two then Brooks and Dunn and Reba are a TRIO :p I love Reba - she can't act (just saw a movie she was in about a woman who woke up from a coma after 20 years - really awful) but she sure can sing Country songs! This one isn't really something I'd listen to - but it's got a catchy tune.

Don't Give Up is a great song ..wait is that an Alex pick that I like? Did the world just slide of its axis?

I've heard too many TERRIBLE karaoke renditions of Paradise by the Dashboard Light by half sober couples (occasionally one of them even a girl) to ever really be able to listen to it again without wincing.

Cool topic this week!
