It would help me a GREAT deal if you would also include the name of the band and the song with your video clip. I am running into removed videos and I have no way to search w/o information included. Also, If you discover I did NOT use your particular clip It's usually because it isn't available, isn't playing properly or has a long commercial in front of it. I will try to search out a good version when this happens. | Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers "I Won't Dance" - Great Piano! The whole song is just epic, and reminds me of those old movies/TV series Lady Gaga "Just Dance" - I think it is a bit annoying song. I dunno why. I dun like it .3. Mannheim Steamroller "Dancing Flames" - The piano is simply amazing! *-* I love how it slowly turned from just piano into a whole band or instruments. I liked it a lot! Billy Idol "Dancing With Myself" - He has nice voice! It really fits the song in my opinion! The Guess Who "Rain Dance" - I'll admit, It made me feel a bit nostalgic. I found myself missing old days. A nice song. Fall Out Boy "Dance Dance" - From the first beat, it had me wiggling my leg XD I loves this song a lot! Van Halen "Dance the Night Away" - Again my leg wiggled XD I felt sad a bit, that I've never heard of this one, and so many other good songs before! Men Without Hats "Saftey Dance" - LOL dat band name. The song is pretty funny in my opinion. I couldda sworn I heard her somewhere before! Whitney Houston "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" - Didn't like it. Sorry... David Bowie...."Let's Dance" - This song has only two words to describe it. DAVID BOWIE OMB! (oh my bacon.) *u* Stromae "Alors On Danse" - hehe I know this one. It was nice the first few times I heard it, but then it got annoying. the constantly beeping drives me insane! Anyways. I think I did my job. X3 Nice songs peoples! gratz the winners! |

When I thought of "Dance" in the title for a MMM topic I drew a TOTAL blank. lol. Ooooo~ Van Halen's Dance The Night Away has gotta be on of my absolute favorites, thank you sage! =D ('80s music will always live in CC's heart!) Some other songs that I haven't heard before I enjoyed very much! Whitney Houston's I wanna dance with somebody...I loved that vibrant beat, definitely need to look into some of her songs! ^.^ |

| Manheim Steamroller? I almost forgot about them! Time to find some of their stuff, my mum always used to play their holiday stuff around Christmas. :D I also am loving the fact that Mummer's Dance made it up there - so epic. :D And I swear that there's a Celtic band or two that did a version of "dance the night away" that is instead "drink the night away" but I shall have to check on that. ;) hee. ^.^ I didn't know there were so many cool songs, I love this MMM because it exposes me to new stuffs!! |

| Dancing in the Dark is truly one of my top 5 favourite songs and always has been. Whenever I hear it I am back in the 80's. My hair feels free to puff up to unbelievable volumes and the greys disappear, my shoulders suddenly feel naked without shoulder pads high enough to keep my ears warm and baby blue eye-shadow just seems like a good idea (especially with a few purple highlights). If I feel like exercising (highly unlikely) I would do it in a leotard, tights and leg warmers with a matching headband and never once feel like I was auditioning for Cirque De Soliel. I am back where most of my life is ahead of me (and less of my behind is behind me) - back when young men would offer to buy me dinner not offer me their seat on the bus. These are all cool songs with "Dance" in the title - but none of them are as special to me as Dancing in the Dark. When you hear it - remember that inside every middle aged housewife's body there is still a young Courtney Cox waiting to get up and dance (best not ask her to though - if she's having a hot flash she can be REALLY grumpy....) :) |

| What an impressive list of great songs and musical pieces!! Fairy Dance could make anyone believe that faires exist. When I listened to Dancing Flames I fell in love with the sound and got lost looking for more of their music. Tina Turner!!! David Bowie!!! Two of my favorites of all time..great artist so I'm not surprised they are both on this list. I was not familiar with Lorena McKennitt but after listening to "The Mummer's Dance", she is now on my list of favorites. What a moving voice and sound she has. And no list about dancing would be complete without the worlds most famous dancing duo singing about dancing!!! |

| Oh wow, lots of nice picks! I'm only gonna comment on the ones I know, or else I'd be typing all day! And I'm sure no one wants to hear me say 'ohhh, never heard this one, but it's nice, ect' lotsa times. XD I'm surprised and yet again not surprised to see Lady Gaga on here. She's really grown on me, and "Just Dance" is one of my favorites by her. 'I love this record baby, but I can't see straight anymore' has to be my favorite line from that song. At first I really hated it because it'd get stuck in my head for days on end, but I've come to really enjoy it! Though I am a little sad to see that her "Dance in the Dark" wasn't suggested. I'd have done so, but I was busy and forgot to! ^^; As for "Dancing with Myself", I had no idea that was Billy Idol! I probably should've known because his voice is so unique, but now I'm glad I do. It's a song that I've always enjoyed and used to come on the radio fairly often when I was younger. It's a shame it doesn't seem to be played much anymore here. Great choice! "Saftey Dance", what more can I say? It's a hilarious and awesome song. XD I knew it'd pop up somewhere! "Dance, Dance" is amazing. I tend to like Fall Out Boy [what I've heard of them so far] so this means I'm probably going to go look up more of their stuff after this. XD DAVID BOWIE! Gorgeous man, even now that he's older. He's a real silver fox! I really need to listen to more of his stuff. My significant other actually posted this song on their Tumblr last night! Bowie has an amazing voice and it's...captivating... -happy sigh- <3 Tina Turner! Amazing voice, amazing talent, and just -wow-! One of the other songs I know from this list! This track could very well be a themesong for one of my characters. Another amazing pick, and so very heartfelt. The last one I actually know from the list is "Dancing in the Dark". I really love this song so much! It's so fun to listen to and was on quite a few of my mom's mix tapes for when we'd travel. I have many memories of hearing it while on the road with just my mom, watching the scenery go by and listening to the tapes. All in all, I can definitely say I've enjoyed this round of Monday Music Madness, and I'm thrilled to see it back!! It gives me something forward to to start the week off! I already know what I'm suggesting for the next one! Thanks so much for bringing it back ^^ |
