What an awesome selection of songs!!!! Some of them I've heard some I haven't but after listening to the ones I didn't know I can sure understand why someone would relate so closely to the one they listed. Each one is so meaningful in their own way. I could so easily relate to each one at different times in my life.

I just love Happy Girl by Martina McBride. I had the privledge to hear her sing that in concert and man can that woman sing. She has a way of making you feel like you are part of the music.

My favorite pick this week is Don't Laugh at Me by Mark Wills. I hope that Penguin Girl didn't pick this one because someone was cruel to her but instead because it touched her heart. When I hear this song it makes me cry for all those around me that have had a bully in their life or that have had something awful happen to them or someone they love. If you haven't heard this song please listen to it and take it into your heart. Remember to treat others as you would like to be treated. Try to remember when you see someone less fortunate that person could be you because bad things do happen to good people. Take a moment to say something nice to someone who really needs it...you might be surprised how good it will make both of you feel.

So the one Girl on Fire reminded me of Hunger Games so I checked it out and it's a cool song.

Then I decided to check out Don't Laugh at Me and didn't even realize by the song title I have heard and really enjoy this song. This song is so heartbreaking, I wish we could stop bullying. I was bullied for most of my school years but managed to make it through. It's sad that some kids don't, we need to teach our children to love not hate or judge.

Also love Martina McBride, Happy Girl is such a good song. As well as I wanna grow old with you by Westlife. When I read that title I was sure I knew that song and sure enough I did.

I love Music Madness, it's such a great way to introduce new music to people. Sometimes music is like therapy and sharing music can really help people deal with things I believe.

All fantastic choices this week. However Dont Laugh at Me still brings tears to my eyes. Makes me think about the school year my youngest son got Good Samaritan award because he "stuck by" a boy who had braces and crutches when the others were laughing and poking fun at him. Guess I'm bragging a bit but hey..thats my boy...he ran them all off and made sure his friend got to class and settled.

Oh he was only in third or fourth grade at the time.

A girl named Ruby cried out loud
Don't Laugh at Me and Get off my Cloud!
The boy said "Im serious please take this ring"
if you Love me I'll be the King of Anything!
I Wanna Grow Old with You - can't you see?
You're the Happy Girl meant to join my Family Tree
Her mother Alegria said "this boy's no liar"
Go for it Ruby - you're a Girl on Fire!
You'll never be left a Broken Hearted Girl
Rise above life's Little Earthquakes and take on the world!!
